Last Saturday I hooked up the snow thrower and am checking every thing to make sure if we ever get snow here in PA, I am ready. I started up the old girl and it is purring like a kitten. After it was warmed up a bit I run it up wide open and it sounds good for about 30 seconds and it was like you turned the key off.
It was late and I put it off until tonight to troubleshoot it. I had power going into and out of the coil but no spark at the plug. I decided to take a wild shot at a plug wire, so I get a new wire i had bought just to have a spare. And a new plug and just laid it on the head, blue sparks a flying.
I switched out the old for new and am back in business, one thing you have to say about the older ones is that the older they are the simpler they are to track down the problems. The next thing to do is a valve job when time permits and I will be good to go.
