I'd recommend buying them from the sponsors. They are actually called "Spirol" pins. That apparently was a manufacturer's name from some time in the past. They are stronger than simple rolled pins that you might be looking at at the hardware store. I wouldn't use the hardware store variety in a driveshaft or steering component, although they would work fine for something like holding the brake safety switch lever in place on the brake shaft.
