Thank you for the kudos. Just hope I can get the body sheet metal looking somewhat presentable. Still a long way to go.

Is your cam shaft bad or are you looking to buy a performance one? If you are needing a stock cam shaft, I have an extra one that I would let go cheap. PM me if you interested.

I sure thank you for your offer. I am building this one using the "Killer Kohler" article from Kirk Engines as a guide with a few twists of my one thrown in. My original cam has a pretty bad groove in the points lobe. I also question the condition of the valve lobes. I have a good cam from a magnum series that is jam up but the points lobe is not ground. There is a shop in Ohio that can regrind for more duration and machine off the points lobe and install their adjustable points lobe sleeve. Just saving my pennies.

agreed it sure is nice to see old parts come clean and look new again. Do you have your own blast cabinet? I've had one on the want list forever but never pulled the trigger on one.
