Ignition switch problem

I bought a used ignition switch for my 108. Once installed though, it will not hold in the "run" position. In other words, it starts fine but when you release the key after it starts, there is no detente at the run position and the spring action sends it back to the off position, thereby shutting it down. It feels like it wants to stop at "run" but there is just not enough resistance to keep it there. Any ideas?

Put a crow bar in your wallet and buy a new switch.

I take it from your tone they are not that expensive, eh?

They're maybe 20 bucks but at least you'll get a new one. It sounds like that used one was the wrong switch

It was out of a 128. I was just trying to keep it as original as possible but a new one it is. Kids' college can wait.:ExtremeFunny:
