New 782/784
3 Attachment(s)
As promised...
My dad picked this up for me at an auction today. It also came with a deck and some tire chains and other random spare parts. I think the cab is actually for a super... Attachment 9583 Attachment 9584 Attachment 9585 The blade is power angle. It has a supposedly rebuilt series II engine. Too bad I don't get to see it until the middle of May, at the earliest. |
Ask your dad if he wants to adopt a 34 year old kid from NY?...lol. We could be brothers and enjoy all of your cubs together...bro!
All kidding aside, nice find! The cab looks super nice too! Bet you cant wait till May! Jeff (teet) |
Great find Matt! looking forward to more up close pics for sure..

Awesome score, Matt! Too bad, you have to wait to enjoy it.

Sweet looking 784! I thought you was into buying clunkers and making htem new again.:bigthink: Not much to do to this one. Sweet cab too! That plow has been in use lately too. Nice score!

Sweet! Looks like a Simm's Cab for a Super? I know you are at school in FL.but my question is"how do you check the oil/open hood?" Nice implements too!!

Thanks guys!
Methos- I can always find something that needs fixing. I don't really care for the artistic touch somebody applied to the frame and front wheels. It looks like an 88 series IH tractor, but I'd rather it look like a 782. Tractor2nv- From what little documentation I have found so far, the front of the cab is supposed to swing up or something so you can open the hood. I don't think the PO knew this, because there is a square hole cut in the hood for checking the oil:angry: I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna do with this thing yet. My other 782 is much nicer, but this one has dual hydraulics and a 3-point, as well as a series II KT-17. One thought I have is to put the engine from this in my other 782 to make it a bit more original (it was a very late one that originally had a series II KT in it) and also add the dual hydraulics and 3-point to it. Something is really kludged together on the 3-point for this one. I was hoping for an IH-built one, but this one is CCC like the one I already have. I might just add all the good stuff from this one to my other 782, put the cab on my 1872 if it fits (that's what I was really after, all the other stuff is a bonus) and then fix this one up as a mower for my Dad. All of this sort of depends on what happens in the next couple of months. I still don't have a job, so if/when I get a job and where it is will dictate whether or not I even go home and for how long. I will probably eventually need something to mow grass and move snow wherever I wind up, so it'd be nice to have one fully-optioned 782 for that. |
Nice score matt . Do you mind me asking how much it set you back.

I like the rear lower oval window so you can really see rear attachments! My Windbreaker cab needs that but I removed the vinyl rear window and find myself bumping my head just to take a peek to see how rear implements are working! Nice that you are trying to keep your dad on a mower too!

Nice 782 Matt!
May will be here before you know it! |
