what size deck is this? the outside blades are 10" long and the inside is 19 3/4" long. matt, you said if you had a pic of it you could tell!!! thanks everyone!!!!! jeff

With the blade lengths, It would add up to a 42 inch deck.
Looks identical to the ones I have.

that is what threw me, 10"+10"+19 3/4" is 39 3/4". 1 3/4" bigger than a 38" and 2 1/4" smaller than a 42". so a 42" deck actually cuts 39 3/4"???? :bash2::bigthink::bash2:

Have to also remember the gap between blades adds to the length.
Hehehe.. .I think they did like some motorcycle engine makers did and fudge on the actual size, LOL.

It is a 38in. The two holes on the pulley cover your pulleys are in the one on the inside of the deck it is a 38. If the pulleys greese fitting is on the outside of the mower it is a 42.

So I am still right on the fudging numbers... roflmaooo.. Now I have to go measure the blades on mine just to know what they should measure for a 42.

OK my 42 inch deck has a 22 1/4 center blade and 10 3/4 outer blades.

You got it! The blade length adds up to more than 38" because the blades have to overlap or you'd leave strips of unmowed grass every time you turned the tractor.

I had a hard time looking at it too.

It is a 38in i checked my deck that is a 38 it is the same blade lenths.
