Ported 129 Rearend

I recently bought a 129 and I know that the hydraulic lift was an option for them. I was wondering if all of the stock transmissions on them were already ported for this option or if I will need to trade out the rearend for a different one to set this up. Thanks in advance for your comments....

Hello. Just bought a 129 myself. Going in morning to pick it up. Hope someone can answer this question for you as I was wondering the same thing. Just curious how much you pay for yours? what did you get with it? If you do not wish to disclose purchase price that is ok. Mine is supposed to just have a mower deck. Have not even seen it yet. hahah and i bought it via craigslist and text messages.
Take care and enjoy

Just change the hydro pump.

J.....I pd $150 for it without any deck or lights or anything extra. It runs so I think that it is a fair price for it. I found out that the 129 with the ported rearend was an option that was available by special order only, so I saw a friend and purchased a 1650 rearend tonight for it. I have the hydraulics already, so soon I should have a 129 with hydraulic option and a 42" blade I picked up for $50. I had some lights laying around to toss on it so, now if I could only get some time to put it together I'd be set. I will post some pics of it when I get it together........right now it's canary yellow by PO spray can so I set it out in the rain because I'm hoping the rain will wash that yellow off!!!:biggrin2::biggrin2:

I dont want to rain on your parade but, You still need to get the correct metal lines and maybe the correct lift cylinder mount and lever. I think the only thing you can use is pump, lift cylinder rubber hoses and maybe the cylinder mount. The 1650 is a QL and the 129 is a wide frame series. You should have got a set up from a 129,149,169.

You said you have the hydraulics already. From a WF or QL. If it's a WF you good to go.

I haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason why a QL valve wouldn't work.

Valve, piston and rubber hoses will work but the metal lines defintely won't work. And I'm not sure about the valve mount and linkage.

No problem. I have everything (metal lines, hoses, cylinder, and valve set) from a 129 (same as 149). I just bought a 1659 rearend last night so all I need is the control handle and the guy that I bought the rearend from said that he had the handle unit if I needed it......So I'm good to go on setting up a hydraulic lift on my 129!!
