When does the weather brake where you live?
Just curious as to when the cold leaves and warm weather starts where you live. I am still seeing pictures posted on here of snow blowing, piles of snow, snow snow snow.
Here in western NC for the past couple of weeks we have had 60-70 degree days and some trees are starting to bloom, flowers are popping up, grass is greening up and the frogs are croaking. We still have some nights in the 30's but for the most part it is nice. |
It's been great here, as well, Chip! It was 80 on Tuesday. :biggrin2:

Spring Relief
Well guys we don't usually get relief here in Rolla, Mo. untill mid March, but this year the weather broke about 2 weeks ago. We are supposed to get snow flurries next week, and here that could mean anywhere from 0-4inches.
But the groundhog did not see his shadow this year, and that means an early spring. I don't remember that ever happenning before. We can get frost as late as April 15, so it's a crap shoot here in the Ozarks. Cadet Farmer |
well since I'm in the middle of Bill and Allen (southern WV) around here it's anyone's guess. I've saw it get and stay in the 50's+ beginning in mid March and then break off and have 3' of snow in April! We usually always have one cold streak (30's-40's) up until late May. All this week it's been sunny and in the 50's so life has been good!! :)

Just like what Gary said. March and April are very unpredictable. Now the big teaser, aside from some warm days is that I noticed a little green in my yard today! Come on Spring!!! Love the smells, the colors, being outside, and more daylight cub time! Even cub yellow looks brighter and more beautiful in Spring. :biggrin2:

In the PacNW - Who Knows . . .?
Some years April - others, early June or July This year it's been warm and wet all winter until last week when it got down to 16 degrees with 10" of snow. (our first real snow of the entire winter) It's them mountains I tell ya - They suck that weather in off the ocean and spit it out every which-way! |
Well it was -11 here this morning, without the windchill:bigeyes: May seems to be the month that it gets super nice around here, March and April can be full of suprise snow storms still:beer2:

Here in Mid Michigan, the farmers are in the fields typically somewhere between the end of March and mid April. Since we have had a lot of snow this year, I am guessing it will be more like mid April this year.

We have been nearly 80 here a few times in Feb. End of March, First of April things usually even out. Still could get snow then, but wouldn't last long.
