Johnson Loader second update: It's on finally, more pics! Enjoy all!
4 Attachment(s)
Finally had some free time to start putting the Johnson on the 129. Gonna use it some to work out any bugs, then take it off to paint later. I was able to get both stanchions bolted on and the pump mounted. Only thing left to do is get the loader arms and bucket in place and hook up the plumbing. Few other odds and ends to do on the 129 also. More pics to come when it's fully mounted and in motion. The last two pics show how the pump mounts and how it tucks in nicely. Sorry about the messy shop. Next thing to get done when the weather finally warms up.

Good progress on the loader install!
Looks like some good progress on the loader install!
I'm new to the Cub Cadet world. What is the going rate($$) for loaders for our tractors? How many differnet models of loaders were made? Thanks! Dan |
Dan,
I never was looking for a loader until a buddy came over to my place with his Johnson. I was hooked and now don't know how I ever collected cubs without one:biggrin2:! There are Johnsons, Dancos, and Kwikways. Some guys have nice homebuilt models, too. Kwikway still makes em brand new and IIRC, they are around the $3000 range?? The Dancos, older Kwikways, and Johnsons range from $500-$1200 range depending on what they look like, model, if they work, and location. This is usually for just the loader. Ya might find a good deal and get one for the lower range or less. Update on my loader. It's one the 129 and works like a dream. I plan to snap some pics today and will get em posted. Need to get some weight on the rear, though. |

Ok guys,
I've got the loader fully mounted and she works great. Had to tighten some loose fittings, but nothing major. I don't have any action pics due to crappy weather. Thunderstorming now:bash2:. There is still a huge snow pile I was going to hack at:biggrin2:. Oh well. Next on the list is loaded ags and some sort of weight box. Then I'll work on beefing up the front end with spindles, etc. Here are the pics. Enjoy. |
