Carb questions

I scored a couple of 47 853 30-S Walbro NOS carbs today. Local mower shop had them on the shelf for a looong time. They are missing a few parts though none that cannot be sourced relatively easy. They have 30.3mm venturis and removable automotive style main jets.

Should I use one of these for my K321 build or bore out my one and only #26??

Any idea what carbs I could use for donors to get jets for fine tuning??

Find a 30 Kohler carb and sell the 26 and walbro carbs. You will save yourself plenty of grief and aggervation.

I take it from the one response and 22 views that the Walbro carb with a 64 stamped inside above the choke plate is basicaly an unknown here. I agree with Merk that the Walbro with a 52 stamp is a pos. I have searched this site for any info on the carbs I got yesterday and have found no input. I did find a lot of Walbro bashing about the non adjustability of the 52. The 64 however has a removable main jet and with a drill bit and a tap I can use Holley jets in it to tune with. Has nobody else done this?? I reckon I will play with it once I get my engine back together and report my findings.

Merk, I am gonna keep the 26 and replace the Walbro 52 pos on my 1200 with it once I rebuild it. And if anyone out there wants to donate some Walbro 64's, I am fixin to get stupid with some power tools.:biggrin2:
