"Original" Clutch bearing question !

I have a 4 digit "O" and the clutch bearing is rounded to allow it to rotate in the clamps...my other one has a sealed bearing with no locking collar.

The online CC Parts diagram shows a bearing and a locking collar.

1. Is there a need for the locking collar.
2. will any sealed bearing work. ( assuming right size)
3. Anyone know where to get the best priced bearing to use or does it have to come from CC.
4. My CC dealer (his kid who runs things now could care less to help) didn't know.

So, I knew someone here might help me.

Rick I don't have all of your answers but if you call Chris Westfall or Rich Patton I bet one of those two knows. They can also supply you with the parts you need as well.
