is 125 worth 14 cents a #

Found another 125 in a bone yard this time. It's rough but complete less mower deck. The yaho's bent the fender and floor board pushing it around to make room. Don't know if there is anything on it, I couldn't get around to the back. Looked just like the tractor.
My thought is even if it don't run, it's worth that in parts, right?
Owner told me I could have it for scrap price of 14 cents a pound, what does one of these weigh anyway.
Good deal or not?

Says it weights 650 lbs in Cub Cadet the first 45 years. So that would put it around 91 bucks, I'd say it's worth that with out seeing it.

At that rate I'm guessing $70-$80 for the tractor:biggrin2:

Regardless, it's worth that. Parts alone are worth that, even if the fenders and floor board isn't the best?
I think I'll pick it up today.
Thanks

Picket the 125 up this morning. Man is it rough. The thing looked like it fell off the back of a truck. May have.
I'm parting it out. It's just to far gone to make a good tractor, besides the engine is shot.
Cost me $92, but I've got a floor full of good parts. To bad to see such a good old tractor treated that way, but I think it's just not worth the $ it would take to make it a usable tractor again.

Get any pictures of it??

zippy1 02-22-2011 08:44 PM

I don't, I could get some tomorrow, but I've already got it stripped down, part wise of what I want off it.

Sometimes you can't save a dead cub,but your parts will let another ,maybe more come back to life!!
Yes we like pictures

My quick math wasn't to bad. I said 91 that was pretty close. I don't know what all parts you could save but I'll bet you got your 92 bucks worth. Way to go, at least you saved the parts from the shredder! :biggrin2:

Did good on parts. All electrical parts, carb, gas tank and bowl, amp gauge, fair hood and fender reflectors. Yet to take off rear wheels, the fronts are two different sizes, go figure?
