Hey guys, found the cable for the camera, took pics, downloaded pics, shrunk pics so i can hopefully download them here. This is my mutt 108. She has a 126 rear end, as you can see by the serial numbers. Used her to mow the lawn this past summer, bought a blade and wheel weights to plow in the winter. I think the clutch is going. When i plow with her, and i push snow up against a snowbank and come to a stop because of the snowbank, i have to depress the clutch pedal a couple of times to get her in neutral. No other problems with the clutch, only when i come to a stop against a snow bank. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks ACecil! Poor girl had what i believe was the original air filter still in her when i bought her, so just changing the filter gave her new life. Oil didn't look too good either, changed it once already, i plan on changing it again soon. I also have a gallon of hytran for a drain and fill in the spring. Gotta take care of that yellow paint on the front end as well. Air filter cover is supposed to be yellow too.

Anytime Tommy! Your 108 has a replacement engine, so the air cleaner is supposed to be black. The original yellow engine had the yellow air cleaner. :beerchug:

Hi, TommyK. Nice looking 108? I have one built 11/71. Did the PO put the 108 Serial #s on the frame (from the old rear axle). Also, looked up the axle #s, and (if I read correctly) they show to be a 126. Frame #s i could make out are 2050043U529111. Axle #s 2050039U324000. Axle showes bulid date 1/70. Frame #s show build date 10/74. Not trying to stir up anything, just don't understand #s on Frame on a 108. I have a 48" deck and love mowing with it. Have a good day.

I can't answer the serial # on the frame but he did state that it does have a 126 axle in it.

Yeah, I was just trying to be sure that I read the #s right off the pics. The frame #s almost look factory installed, so someone did a good job of putting them there. Looks to be a location of later model #s. Wonder if the frame is a later model and PO put the original 108 #s there to fill the holes? Anyway, looks to be a keeper. Have fun with it, TommyK.

Thanks everyone! Havent' had much time to play with her lately, but i know i have to take a look at the clutch. Thanks for the starting point Duke. i'm sure i'll be looking for help when i take her apart. Kenny, you are correct with the dates for the 126 rear end and the 108 frame. Wanted to share that with everyone, thought it was interesting. I was wondering if anyone had seen wheel weights like those? Cub cadet 75#'s. I was looking for cast iron, but couldn't pass those up.
