Lets hear about everyone's other hobbies!
I fly R/c Helicopters. To add some interest, I found a you tube video of some of the first r/c helicopter flight from 1968!! Thats as old as some cubs here, so I think its doubly interesting .

Ham Radio is my other vice. I'm W0DLR, that W Zero D L R, my callsign issued by the FCC. Ham radio, like Cub tractors has good money in it, I know I have put a lot of it there. Oh well, can't take a thing with me that I know of.

As far as my other interests, I have had many, OC1 paddling, rock climbing, hunting, etc.. but over the past few years I've gotten away from it all. To expensive to support and the CC has taken over. I may take up climbing again since my oldest daughter is getting to the age I can take her on some short easy climbs or do some top ropping. |
I spend most of my time rite now in school or doing school related work. Making a drastic career change at near 40 years old is not easy. I have found that school is not as easy as it was 20+ years ago either.
But when I do have time it is spent working on or riding custom Harley's. When the weather is not good for that we go four wheeling. I have a Polaris 800 sportsman with a 3 inch lift and 28 inch outlaw mud tires, and allot of goodies to make it go. My wife has a Polaris ranger xp with 2 inch lift and 27 inch maxxis zilla's. I get to play pretty hard when go , and my wife keeps our daughter safe in the ranger. She loves it. |
I enjoy doing Genealogy. Right now I have my line back to 1570 in The Netherlands. I am working with other researchers locating the old Church documents. It's fun Translating it out and making new Discoveries. It's fun uncovering the secrets our ancestors took to grave with them.

My work is pretty much my hobby - I also work with a friend of mine who's been sculpting since the '50s. There's just something about pouring 300 pounds of molten metal like a hot cup o' joe that gets the blood pumping! (I'm wearing the tan welding jacket in the pic below) Here's a few of what I do . . . |

Hunting, Hunting, Hunting, Guns and camp. But most of my free time is spent messing with Cubs! Pretty big hockey and football fan. I also coach my sons baseball team in the spring every year. Here's a shot of my camp from last fall right after I finished the siding. Been remodeling it for the last five years. Another of a weekend with a group of friends and the 4 wheelers at camp. I also enjoy restoring campers. This is my 4th camper in 5 years it's a 1985 Porwler that I restored. I guess you could say I enjoy the outdoors!:beerchug:
