100's maiden voyage

Well I put a seat on the 100 the other day just so I could take it out for a spin. Man was it cool:biggrin2:
I had one heck of a time getting my leg over the center and shifter, but with the wife pulling, we got on:beerchug: and away I went.
Felt good going for a ride after all the work, getting it from a tractor that was destin for the bone yard to another classic that will be with me for years to come, then handed down for someone else to enjoy.
It was such a neat feeling cruising on a classic tractor, a (1964 Cub Cadet 100) those new tractors have nothing on these old iron machines:beer2:
The hand controles worked great too!

Congrats, I couldn't be more impressed. You did a fantastic job on those hand controls. You should be very proud of your tractor, and very proud of yourself to. You look great on it Zippy1:beerchug:. Keep up the good work.

Great job Zippy! Your 100 looks sweet, and your hand brake looks factory. Do you think the center and shifter is going to keep being a problem for you? Any solution to it? Thanks for sharing your pics!

Yeh I'm thinking so. See with the hydro's I don't have the shifter to contend with while sliding my leg through as I'm getting on. What I do is get the chair as close as possible, (tight to the tire) put my right foot on the tunnel, grab the wheel and pull myself on with my foot sliding through to the other side. Shifter is a problem.:bash2:

That's a bummer. Unless your wife doesn't mind helping you get on and off it would be a pain not to be able to use that sweet looking 100. Got any thoughts on what to do yet?

Nice work zippy1
I agree, Something about the feel of the older machines.
Great pictures of you and your Cub

Sweet 100 and nice trophy room! It looks like I'm going to get to try my 100 out in the next couple of days. We're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Hope you find a way to get some good use for yours.
