Hi all,
In the process of trying to quiet my 421u1113 deck down.
Right now it kinda sounds like I'm mowing a cat :biggrin2.gif:

I pulled the first assembly off Wednesday an soaked it for a day.
Last night I disassembled it and noticed an extra piece not shown on the diagrams I have. I'm assuming its needed but would like to make sure its a factory part.

Hopefully I get a chance this weekend to tear into another assembly and see if that part is inside as well. Just figured I ask here too.

Mowing Cat...?? Reminds me of my Ex.... :biggrin2.gif:

Here is what the Parts Manual depicts....

JK: Get the parts just as shown in Rolands post. Yours appears to have been assembled by a rig-up artist and/or shade tree mechanic type who had no idea what the internal parts do. Use the correct parts assembled in the correcr order and no more "cats" or Roland's "ex" :biggrin2.gif: sounds from under the deck...
