I just dismantled my wheelhorse c-160. Dont want to hurt anybodies feelings but wow what an inferior machine when your used to the cadets. I did score a nice hydralic valve, cylinder and the 16hp kohler. I really would like to put this motor on my 129. It is a newer style with ring gear starter. The mounts and flywheel appear to be different. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Just dont know what parts will swap or need to be bought. Thanks in advance.

those hydraulic units on those old wheel horses are worth a pretty penny!

Which parts? I think Im going to use the cyl and valve to make my blade power angle but i need some tees for the steel lines on the 129 think I know how to do the rest. I will probably try to sell the rest. Any info on the size and or syle of fittings for the tees I need would also be a help.

I think you'll find that the flywheel to crankshaft mounting is different making it difficult to mount a stock cub drive shaft and drive cup to it, the crankshaft at the pto is most likely longer so using the cub pto wont be an option, and the oil pan is different as well making mounting an issue too. I had a lengthy post on the old OCC forum (archived above..) about this as I swapped a k341 from a wheel horse into a 82 series Cub...its possible, but its not a strait forward swap.

Thanks for the info I dont use the pto anymore, Ithink I may be able to fab something to mount driveshaft, but do you guys think the oil pan will bolt up? Will check out the archive thanks again!
