Looks cobble up to me.. & piston has stander stamped on it with other numbers ... is this a after market motor ??? Thanks for any input.. Jeff U |
It's probably just part of the hieroglyphics Kohler used in their casting molds to keep track of what was going on, and to be able to identify issues with a certain run of castings, or something like that. In other words, meaningless to you and I.

Depending on if they are stamped or cast, those numbers/letters could be anything from what batch of molten iron the block was poured from to the line that the engine was assembled on, might even be a code for the date that it was poured or assembled.
Unless you talk to someone who was there, you will probably never find out. |
Re:K321
Hi, Hope your redo goes smoothly.:WWP:
From the pic that you posted, you have a block from a 1450. Thats why you have the dipstick block-off plate. Another clue is all the holes that are drilled and tapped for the electric PTO. The black color of the block could have meant a "service block/engine" or the color that most quietline engines were painted.:biggrin2.gif: FFGino. Happy Cubbing!! |
