Electric Lift Expert Please

I have in mind to build a "82" from scratch using a standard tranny. I don't want, actually won't have a lift lever attached, just don't like the look so I gotta figure my way around it. I'm thinking of going the electric lift route, do you think I'll be able to adapt one to a 82 wide frame?

I was thinking of bidding on this. Any thoughts?

Does anyone have any ideas on a one piece electric pump that will run the hydraulic lift cylinder? I want the overall tractor to appear unmolested, by that I mean I don't want to alter the engine compartment by ading a ps pump as I've seen others do.

BTW I'm posting here as all I will ever own is CCCs however I will use IH parts and the ebay link is for ID purposes (mods).

Thank you

Scott

I bought one of these http://www.buymtdonline.com/webapp/w...69122_45329_-1 on clearance from Tractor Supply for $100. (Yep, $100) and installed it on my 1862. This was a couple years ago, but I believe that I used the stock rear plate as a pattern and bolted the lifts mounting plate directly to it. It works great and I can take it off and the rest of the tractor is stock.

I built my 582 from parts...about 10 different are contained in it. I'm going to use some 782 lift parts and run a small pump off the flywheel end to give it hydraulic lift. I've collected all the lift parts, but haven't had time to install them. I'd keep that in mind as an option as well. I will most likely hide the pump so it isn't visible unless a side panel is removed.

Matt

What type of pump will you use? Is the pulley and the clutch drive one piece?

I have a fairly small hydraulic gear pump that I just had laying around. I'm going to use the rearend as a reservoir and add a spin-on hydraulic filter. If money is no object, you could probably buy a much smaller pump than I have and be able to hide it easier. My other problem is that my pump is CW rotation, so I have to do some ugly things with the belt and mounting brackets to make it fit. I made a billet aluminum drive cup that has a pulley groove in it since I had to adapt the clutch driver to my CH18 that I installed in it. I have pictures somewhere...

How's this for a CCW pump?

That would probably work, although I'd run it at a 2:1 reduction because you don't need 8.5 GPM. I think your lift would fly up and down at that flowrate. I wonder if I can find the specs on the ported hydro charge pump. The closer you get to those specs, the more it'll operate like the lift on a hydro cub.

Check out Burden Sales Surplus Center. Another place to look for goodies like hydro pumps, motors, and electric actuators and other cool toys. Sometimes they have some really good deals
