Found another Wide Frame
 

I found another wf - now I just need to convince the wife that I need a 129. She keeps telling me that I have too many Cub Cadets now and I need to get rid of one or two. I have to do some wheeling and dealing to get this 129 into my shed......

This one is supposed to run good, but will need a pto clutch. I might have to put up my 122 or my 123 up for sale to appease the wife here. Stay tune to the classifieds for further developments.

Maybe your wife just needs a new one of what ever it is that she collects...

Have you explained to her that IH built Cub Cadets are like money in the bank, and that they get more valueable with age?

She also needs to understand that by the time you are ready to retire, you could sell them/some of them and perhaps use the money to take a cruse or use it for some other much desired treat.

When my Daughter asks "HOW MANY OF THOSE DO YOU HAVE, ANYWAY???" I simply tell her... "Enough that someday, you will be a wealthy woman".

Depending on the situation, sometimes it is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

Sometimes, you just have to be a little creative with your presentation...

My problem is - I used that line, "I can sell these for more than I bought them for." But she's caught onto the fact that I have a hard time letting one leave once one is in the shed. I sold one or two, but they're usually replaced with two or three or sometimes more. She's starting to see the method of my madness.

Does she have one of her own? I think you need to expose her to the yellow fever virus...

Or tell her that you have yellow fever and the only cure is to collect enough that you can trade them for a red one (like in Monopoly, trade 4 houses for a hotel).

I got her to drive one of my 104s a couple of times and my 123, but she's not impressed.

I tell every time I want to pick up another one that I will sell one or two. After telling her about 3 or 4 times now and not really going through with it, I think she's catching on. I sold one Cub, a few Cub parts, but she's beginning to catch on that I'm hoarding them now and don't like to part with anyone of them.

Tell it's either cubs or another woman which would she like you to have in the shed.:biggrin2.gif:

LOL mine would tell me to move to the shed. :bigthink: Hmmm, I just got to thinking, my wife has NO idea I am buying a 169. Guess I better find me a cot to put in my workshop... :biggrin2.gif:

I never discuss "buying" cubs, only talk about what is coming home. When ever the trailer leaves empty, my wife just shakes her head and hopes she will still be able to park in the garage. She knows the cubs are a great joy for me and our boys. She also knows they are cheaper than hot rods, guns, hunting trips, and sporting events. It did bother me a little when she told me the 169 looked just like all the others. My oldest son took over politely explained why every cub man needs just one more. Realizing all 4 boys have been brain washed, her response was, "we need a shed".
