Where can i find a short block?
I just purchased a used 2006 LT1042 with a 19hp motor, The problem is that the motor blew apart and shoved a rod through the bottom of the block, everything is bad, piston, connecting rod, crank and so on. Well my question is where can i find a short block for this fairly cheap? I only paid $100.00 and it looks brand new. (hour meter only reads 11.1 hours) And the best i can tell should be worth $700 - $900 fixed and running. let me know if this is worth fixing or should i part it out and find another one. Thanks for any and all reply's.

Ffred you could make a post in your wanted section of the site.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/f...splay.php?f=35 Or you could contact Patton Acres site sponser. Just click on his banner at the top of any page to go to his site. From there email Rich and I'm sure he'll be able to help you out. |
Looks like a new short block from CC is about $750. About $625 here (assuming it is the earlier engine...2 engines were used according to the parts lookup).

Take a look at Small Engine Warehouse. They have a complete engine for less than a short block. You may have to swap some parts but it should save you a few $$$$. Hope this helps.
