1420 wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1420? Mine won't start. I turn the key and nothing. I put 12v to the small lead on the solenoid and it cranks.
I know the safety switch in the seat is disconnected. I'm not sure if there's a safety switch on the brake. i bought the unit this fall, but haven't used it too much. i bought it for snowblowing. I saw the diagrams in the tech section, but didn't see one for 1420's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

Jim:

There are two different diagrams for this model. It will depend on the Chassis Serial Number. Please advise and I'll forward the correct diagram.

Does anyone. have another source for a wiring diagram for a 1420.The one Roland sent me help me solve my starting problem, but I think it shows the pro switch wired wrong.
I wish I had something else to compare it to.
Thanks
jim

The wiring diagram I sent you IS the official Cub Cadet diagram. I have studied the PTO circuit and find no issues with the factory diagram. NOW.....just what do you think is the problem...??? :HeadScratch:

If it doesn't match the wiring diagram, that's because the tractor isn't wired right...

Hey Roland
Thanks again for sending me the diagram.
The key switch has terminal marked R, that should be an A. But my problem is with the Pto circuit. If you follow the red wire from the alternator that goes to the reverse switch. If the switch is not in reverse, then 12vdc goes to the reverse realay contacts. If the coil is energized by the seat switch the 12vdc goes through the reverse relay contacts to the pto clutch. bypassing the pto switch. There is a junction point to the pto switch, but you already have the 12v to the clutch.
good luck understanding what I just said

IF you have the correct parts and IF the tractor is wired correctly.....you will have this....
