I see these lift brackets on some tractors lift handles, is this something I'm going to need if I still decide to get a three point for the 125? If not, what are they for?

They are used for the front blade and snowblower lift rod.

What would a three point hook up to then?

Essentially, yes. The cast iron piece mounts slightly differently.

is there anything out there like this for the 123? and how bout front weight brackets?

The Narrow Frames ALL attach the same, except the extra bracket on the 1X6/7 series.
