pto clutch bearing

i have a cub cadet 100...it has a k241 ....how do you get the pto clutch bearing off the engine ....i just rebuilt the clutch but cannot get the bearing off to replace it ?:HeadScratch:

I used a bearing puller and LOTS of penetrating oil. Here is the puller I used: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...=18-77157673-2
After tightening the bolt, tap on the bolt with a hammer and it will come off.

Other than the mowing deck, what attachments work of of the front pto?

This bearing has a lip on it, do you have to have this bearing or can you use a standard bearing? I didn't mean to post a question in a question but I am doing the same thing right now.

thats what i figured ....mine is pretty rusty ....i do not have mower deck for mine i just have a snowblower QA-42 ...and from what i have learned you need that bearing with a lip on it so it only goes on that far ....and the collar that is drilled with the same offset as the bearing ....not really too familiar with cub cadets but i am learning :)

Don't forget you have to loosen the locking collar on the back of the bearing, or it will be very hard to remove.

The bearing has a concentric locking collar on it. To lock it, use a punch and tap it in the same direction as the motor runs. To remove it tap it against rotation and the locking collar should come off then tap or pull the bearing off.
Matt beat me again.
