Transmission oil for my 106 (non hydro.).
There are no cub dealers nearby. I am wondering if there is a "hy-tran" equivalent for the non hydrostatic transmission. There is a Tractor Supply nearby but no one is able to answer, with any confidence, what would be acceptable.
Thanks. |

Got a Case construction equipment dealer nearby? They should have it, too.

Bill you sound like you're in the same boat I am. I've got a post in the general section with the same concerns. on IH/CASE website you can do a dealer search. My nearest one is about 40 miles away... I've found quite a few sites on the web that will ship 1qt-5gal, but it's pricey that way.

Hy-tran vs sae 30
Thanks for the discussion. I actually live very near the ocean, very humid. I like the idea of the moisture absorbing qualities of the hy-tran. Will look for a case contractors dealer Monday. Trying not to go the 30 route. Though I am sure it would probably be adequate, my yard is small and the only other use will be to pull a small boat up my yard (old sand dune, hill).
