Serial Numbers

I looked in the technical section but didn't see anything.
Does anyone know if there is a way to identify what a tractor is by the number on the tag either on the side of the frame or the rearend?

CubCrazy... I think that info is on here somewhere...maybe Admin can help locate it..

However, there are several of us who can read those data plates and can tell you what the digits/letters mean.

Just post your question...

Myron,

The last 6 are 341688 which looks like it was built may of 1970.
The question I have is what model it was when it came from the factory?

jeffscub 12-01-2010 04:23 PM

147 hydro 1970 jeff

To identify a Cub through it's Serial Number you will have to have to whole number.

For example........... 1234567 U 123456

The First Seven Digits are the IH "Kind Code" that will ID the model.

Post your Serial Number and we will look into the charts,

CubCrazy...Like Roland said, we need the whole string of digits with the U in the middle not just the last 6....

Cubcrazy 12-01-2010 04:37 PM

OK Roland and Myron.
I will get it and post.
Thanks
