ISO mounts
OK, whats the best way to fix the ISO mounts on my 1650, The rubber is shot. Are there better after market bushings? I know about welding in the cross piece.

Mounts
My research has shown that the best thing is to take the plunge and buy the factory mounts. The other mounts, from what I have read, offer more vibration. I also made the cross member change too and between the two it runs pur-fectly. While it is expensive (more than I think it should be) it is worth it to me.

Buy the mounts from your local Cub Cadet dealer. You won't regret it.

I just did my 1250. I tried the after market first... Mistake... Got the cub rubber and am much much happier with the outcome. Don't forget to do the cross brace mod while you have the motor out.

we sell and have installed lots of the aftermarkets.I have had good luck with them however keep in mind your can get them for under $20.00 and the ones from cub are over $80.,you get what you pay for.I would say the new cub ones are almost bullet proof. If we are selling a $5-$600. tractor we can`t recover the $80. so we use aftermarket,I think this also holds true to a guy that wants to have several cub cadets ,hard to pull the trigger on that amount of money for something that may only get used a few times a year.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to go for the factory mounts and welding in the cross brace. I use this tractor summer and winter. I don't want to pull that monster single out again.

I bought a used set of the Cub mounts in very good condition for $25 on eBay.

I'm running the "aftermarket" suspension pieces on my 1250 and honestly they do fine. The K series engines do vibrate a considerable amount at certain RPMs, so either of the options isn't going to take all of that away.

Do you folks have the specs for the mounts in question?
Like size shape and rubber durometer? Just courious to see what you get for $80? Regards, Chris |

This is for one corner. The kit runs about $20 per corner.
