Paint Suppliers
Hi All...
Everybody knows that you can get paint from Cub Cadet dealers. Most folks also know that correct paint is available through Case/IH dealers. What almost no one remembers is that there is a former division of IH, very much still alive, and also has the correct paints. They even use the IH paint codes with a 0 in front of the as in 0901 for the Original white or 0483 for Federal Yellow!! It's called the International Truck & Engine Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Navistar Holdings. Just FYI Myron B Cadet Collector Supply Room |
Does anyone know of a supplier that sells the correct color for powder coating the cub cadet 1650. Thank you

oops! try this again.

FYI that's a completely different shade of yellow than what's on our IH CCs...that paint matches the orangish-yellow on the cyclops and 2000 series tractors.

I'm referring to the Valspar and TSC (probably the same thing) "Cub Cadet Yellow". It matches the orangish-yellow found on 2000 series and the "cyclops" models, and probably everything built since then, too.
There may have been an 3rd intermediate shade of yellow between the IH Cub Cadets and the orange crap I mentioned above, as several of my yellow CCC built 82 series tractors have what appears to be a bit different shade of yellow than my IH tractors, but it's hard to say. |
well everyone has opinions...boy do they.....and the TSC Valspar paint is good paint for any resto and has an awesome shine!!!!

In case you may be referring to my "orange crap" comment, I was referring to the shade of paint itself and not the brand of paint. However, rattle can paint is no match for paint with hardener applied with a gun in terms of shine and fade/wear resistance.
