Well I finally brought the 1650 home since it was running when parked 2 years ago I'm giving it my usual treatment of removing the carburetor, dissasembling and soaking in chem dip for a day or 2 poured Marvel Mystery Oil in the piston chamber let stay for a day then I'll remove the head decarbonize it and the valves , put a new head gasket along with new grade 9 head bolts from Fastenal, new plug and a new procedure, cleaning all the grounds and replacing any old ground wires that look worn. Then I'll spray Lawn Mower Tune Up by PB Blaster in cylinder and carburetor and take that baby for a spin. I really excited the carburetor is like new condition just normal gel type crud and the spark plug was very clean. It will definately need some cosmetic work but but miles ahead of what the 1450 was.

Well it's nice to see those new screws it the choke plate. Did ya do a throttle shaft repair on it? We really wanta see the tractor. I can't do action shots untill my dog learns how to hold the camera steady... and grows thumbs.

Now you're teasing, those are the screws tha were in it when I got it. I didn't know I could get those screws in a rebuild set.
Those little brass screws are a real pain to reinstall I had to clean the screw hole out before I could get them back in.

You are right you don't get new screws in a rebuild kit. When I assembled my carbs I did it sitting at my couch on the coffee table. I spent about an hour total time looking for dropped choke and throttle plate screws. Then my choke shaft ball took a hop onto the carpet.:bash2:
It took about half an hour to find that with a strong magnet.

I would like to add for others that you can remove and reuse those brass screws if you use a screw driver that exactly fits the screw head; you turn the screw until it feels tight and then back off and do it again, and again and again.... They are brass and you are pulling them through steel. It takes some time but it is definitely doable.

Finally, Nice tractor! I don't know what you are pointing at though. ?????

It Looks like some factory line tag,I worked on the valves and got them polished and cleaned the head.
