Front Pivot Pin
Anybody else had one that would not come out? I have sprayed it with PB blaster, checked to make sure that the set screw is out. The front hole is oblonged thanks to the weld on the sleeve breaking. So i cut that off and the back one also because I am going to have to ream the hole out and create new sleeves for the pin and make a new pin. I started to drill out the pin last night and am about 3/4 way through one side and it still won't budge. I have even restorted to using a sludge hammer, the back side of the pin is loose you can see a gap but the front has not gap. Any help or suggestions would be very welcomed!

You need a torch...heat the axle until it glows where the pin goes through it, and then try to drive it out.

You can buy new sleeves and pins from the suppliers who advertise on our forum. Just align the sleeves on the crossmember (I used the pin to align stuff) and weld them into place. It was easier to buy them, for the cost, than for me to make them.

well I got it out last week, the front sleeve had broke off so i just cut the back one off also also and was able to get the whole front axle out. Kept heatin' it and heatin' and it got me nowhere, drill a whole all the way through and still couldn't get it. So i decided to take it to my old work and let them deal with it and also make me a new pin and sleeves. Can't wait to get er all back together!
