Hydro Update!
Got the 1450 operating reasonably well I finally mounted the tiller on yesterday, must be one of those special edition tillers in harvest gold, sort of like the JD Patio tractors.

I'm new to Cub Cadets, I did have a IH Cub tractor with the 4 cylinder cultivating tractor before, I had horrid carb trouble with that tractor, it may have needed the gas tank cleaned, it was a vapor locking B**** for sure. I replaced the gas line, it had a fuel bowl, I added a paper type filter with the then glass canister rebuilt the carb I don't know how many times, and also cleaned it in a big ultrasonic cleaner for a couple hours... It was not something I needed to be working on all the time, I was growing roast-n-ears to sell, so I needed it to cultivate. A good note on things I have learned, they sell a ultrasonic cleaner on ebay for around $40, if anyone is interested I will get a name/link to manufacture, but they are one of the most handy things to have around, I use mine all the time, and you just think you have a carb clean until you use a ultrasonic cleaner.

Anyway to my question, how does the 1450 handle the tiller ( I don't have one of those ***yet***) however I have a small bottom plow (moldboard?) that was made by sears, it's made for a 3 point hitch type deal, I also have a cultivator that will work with a sleeve hitch, which I have neither... but I gotta get my cub like I want it before going any further. I may be using my cub even though it has a great deck mostly for garden work, I also have a Craftsman DYT 4000 48" cut 24 HP B&S Intek.. not sure how the cub would compare to the craftsman in cutting grass. I really like a floating deck for grass cutting, if I only had my Ford YT 16 back....

That tiller is a cub cadet tiller 1a, I haven't run it yet but have a pto belt on the way. My brother uses the same type tiller on his 106 and it works really well.I have a 154 with a tiller and it is great, I had a carburetor on an off topic mower and I cleaned it several times and it woul do ok and I finally took it to the local cub cadet dealer where the again vatted it and cleaned it with an acid wash and it was like having a brand new carburetor.

You just descibed my 154 creeper drive mid & rear hydraulics, dual brakes. 4 foot tiller and I'm pleased as could be to have it. I bought for my dad to use the last year he was able to plant a garden, I paid $1200 for it also has a 60 inch deck and a dirt/snow blade. It was worth the 1200 so he could have one last garden.
