more pto problems
 

hello guys today i finnaly got the pto to work with out the belt on it but once i put the belt on it it dosent want to work i am trying to use the mowing deck any and all help will help :bash2:

OK....now we know we are dealing with a Mechanical PTO.

NOW.....did you rebuild the PTO....?? Is the PTO adjusted correctly...??

i did not rebuild it but it dose turn on and off and spin with out a belt it just wont spin with a belt on it it dosent make sence to me i got it to work after banging it with a 2 x4 and then it stoped againi dont really have the money right now to rebuild it but u mentioned adjusting it how can this be done?

It sounds like the pto, is either not adjusted properly (not the turnbuckle, the pto itself) or the bearing is bad.

Or perhaps the pto is not seated properly on the bearing.
