Help with Serial Number

I just bought this Cub Cadet it says 1200 on the decal and we read the serial number to the best of our ability 2050047U471493. Can anyone tell me the year it was made? I failed to mention it has a hydraulic lift and hydrostatic trans. Thanks I know someone can help me, Mike.

I am going to say 1973, but am not sure about it. I know some others will know for certain.

This might help. By the Serial number that is not a 1200.

Would like to see a pic of it.. Sounds like you may have a 149 or a 169 wide frame.

Mike M: The number you posted is broken down as follows:

205 = IH Kind code for a Garden Tractor (Cub Cadet).
0047 = IH factory code for a Model 149
U = manufactured in a US plant (Louisville Ky, in this case).
471493 = actual one-up serial number produced in May 1973 as Roland said.
