CCO fenders

What's too much for a set? I have a chance for a set with reflectors for $260.. Not pits dents or dings in them. This a fair price??

Matt G. 05-12-2009 09:09 AM

In my opinion, that's kinda high. I've seen $200 to $225 a lot, but there's gotta be better deals than that. You don't want to know what I paid for an entire O with fenders...it was much less than that...

JayBrd 05-12-2009 11:37 AM

He wants 225 for the fender set, and another 35 for the reflectors/mounts. The part that makes it hard is I can get all new Ag's and a set of Ribs for it and wheel weights for the same cost... But I tend to be a "fender grabber" when I go under trees or am pulling something. I've grabbed tire a few times with it already, I can still count to 21 but with Ag's on I need to break that habit!

I also think that's kinda high, sometimes on epay they get nearly that much but most of the time they are some less, $35.00 for the reflectors is just crazy in my opinion.

If you can get the fenders for $225.00 and no shipping cost, that's not that far out of line (still a darn sight more than what I would pay for them, but I'm pretty much of a cheapskate anyway).

If it were me I would watch epay and try to find a pair cheaper.

Good luck

Is exactly what I did (offer), we'll see where it goes. I hate doing this kind of project because I get stuck in the "must haves" and get it to the full option loaded type deal. I have the guy who I got the parts tractor from looking for me also. He deals in old attachments and tractors and sees a fair amount of stuff..

Thanks for the advise everyone!

Ill be the odd ball !!!!
Consider my gographic location !!!
With that said Id pay that cause i dont think i could find them cheaper!!!I have seen them listed in the used parts of the sponsors of forums for no less than 200 not including shipping.I dont belive ive seen them go for less than 200 on epay, but thats just it its ePAY,ALTHOUGH i havent paid that mutch attention to them more so on the 70/100.
I do agree with Matt though you could probably get a whole tractor with fenders for darn near that price,BUT how often do they come along like that??!!!
If you spent a bunch of time driving around or really looking near where you live how plentiful are cubs???Id think WI. has them plentiful, but dont know.
I live in the dirt, there are no trees besides thoes planted by people!!! cubs are rare around here,if anyone else within 200 miles of me had the desire for cubs I do,we would be fighting!!LOL I take em like i get em,some wouldnt touch the o i got with a ten foot pole...........What that had to do with fenders i dont know!!!!LOL
Are they worth it to you????
Take care
Jason

I hear you

I've been looking for a CCO for almost 2-3 years without having to drive to Ohio or Indy to get a running one at a good price. I did end up picking the fenders up for a way cheaper price. IF there are any cubs around here in WI they are owned by someone who is still using it, a collector or they want 10X what is worth most of the time.

You guys all need to swing by northern IL when there's a big consignment auction. I can quite honestly say I pass up 85-90% of the cubs for sale here, and I still wind up buying a few each summer. They're EVERYWHERE over here...

I will GLADLY hand you my wants list when we meet up for the 86 when you get back! 15-20 yrs ago almost everyone had a CC of some sort, now nothing...

DrBailey 05-14-2009 10:59 AM

About a year ago I bought a 102 on ebay for 250, because it had round fenders. Of course it had many other used parts so I considered the fenders near free.
The thrill is in the hunt!
