My Third 104

3 Attachment(s)
A few weeks ago I posted about a possible trade for another 104. Well today I made the trade. A JD RX75 rear engine rider for a 104. The 104 has busted steering, but was supposed to run good when it was parked after the steering busted. A little starting fluid and it started. The carb will need cleaning, and of course, the steering fix.

As you can see it's a little rough. When I was pulling it home, that left rear wheel looked to be Kubota orange in my rear view mirror.

It's pretty rough. The hydraulic unit is supposed to work. Noticed the brake/clutch pedal. The seat shell isn't too bad of shape - has a couple of repairs done to it, and there's another small crack that would need fixing. The rear tires are pretty dry rotted and crack, but they're holding air. The front rims are very rusty. I'll get it running, check out the hydraulics and the transmission and then decide what I'm going to do with it. The engine may go into a 123 that I have or I have my eye on Kevin Sander's wide frame that needs an engine.

Nice score on the 104, Terry! You definitely got the better end of the deal. :beerchug:

I didn't have much time to mess with it today. A couple of things I discovered today - the metal fuel line into the carb leaks pretty bad. It was in neutral when I got it, so I tried to put it into each gear. First okay, reverse okay, but second was tight and now it's locked in second gear. I have to remove the seat, fenders, and shifter to get the shifting forks unlock. BTDT with a 122.
