Case IH Hy-Tran fluid or Cub Cadet's Hydraulic/Transmission fluid.
 

I've read here on the forums that IH hy-tran is the same as CC hyd fluid. I went to Tractor Supply yesterday as they are the only place in town that has anything for CC's, and they had quarts of hyd fluid for $13.99.
Today I called the IH dealer about the hy-tran that they sell, and was told I can get their product for $9.49 a gallon.

If what I read is correct, and these two products are identical, how can the price be so far apart.

When I went to TSC I got motor oil when I asked for fluid for my hydro stat. I'm taking it back.

What I found (on this forum) out after that was that I can take an empty motor oil jug down to my IH dealer and get it filled for a little of $2 per gallon. My limited research shows that putting that in is best for moisture reasons so that's what I did.
