front pto
Thanks guys. I got the key problem worked out. Now, in the same two for one situation, I got the parts tractor running and have decided to put the snow blade on one and the rototiller on the other but the one with the snow blade is set up for a mower, too, and has the front pto but the parts tractor is set up for the tiller and the front pto is missing. Soooo, I need to get the pto off the first one to put on the parts one, so I am wondering if there is a link to a "how to" get the pto off.
Thanks, again |
pto removal
Never mind, boys. I was looking at the archives and found a video of how to do it. What a great site. xoxoxo

You will need your front PTO to run the tiller and the mower if your talking about a 149.

It would be kinda cool if we knew what model tractors we're talking about.

front pto
Oh yeah. It's a 149 and I got the pto off the nice tractor but I found out why the other tractor was a parts tractor. The pto is trash. The fingers are all broken and they apparenntly couldn't gret it off because all of the little set screws are stripped out.

if the pully is good you'll have about $100 in it to rebuild it with new levers a button, set screws, and a clutch kit. If your pullys bad they go for around $105. Is it an early or late model PTO? does it have a brake or not? The cost goes up when you start buying brake parts too!
