Ultima ZT1 46 - Hard Engine Cranking When Hot
I have a ZT1 that's a little over 3 years old. Kohler KT725 engine starts flawlessly when cold. No issues at all. My concern is trying to restart following mowing/cleaning the machine while the engine is still hot (ie., sitting for about 5 minutes or less). Starter engages, cranks for less than a second, then freezes. Have to wait about 15-20 minutes, then restarts again without any problems. Mainly happens mowing when temps are in the 80's/low 90's. I don't have restarting issues mowing in the fall when temps are in the 60's and 70's. Any suggestions? I can live with it, however, it is a nagging issue. AI is suggesting starter/solenoid or valve adjustment which I can do, however, I was hoping to get some expert advice here instead of going down the AI rabbit hole. Thanks everyone.
