2008 Recon 60" - Hydro Gear Rebuild?
 

2008 Recon Pro 60" model: 53AH8ST5050

Can the hydro motors be re-built ? I have changed belts, changed fluid & still lack power to go up hills without "chattering" ...

I would think that your issue might be the hydro pump if you used all the correct fluid and filters and not the wheel motors.

I would check with the manufacturer of it to see if any parts are available from them. It's probably a Hydro-Gear but I don't see any model numbers on the parts lookup.
