5254 starting issue

I have a CC 5254 that runs fine when it starts. This is a very long stanging issue that the dealer says was fixed but immediately began again. When trying to start the tractor, the starter wont turn over and there is a click, This is intrmittent but has become more frequent until now when absolutely nothing happens. I have replaced starters and solenoids at least 4 times and the ignition switch one or twice but the problem still reoccurrs. I'm, planning on just running a full power line to the starter with a starting button. The problem is looking at the solenoid the positive already is going directly to the starter. Where would I attach the positive coming out of a newly installed starter swith? I can't even sell it the way it sits!

Grab a set of booster cables

Run them from the battery positive to the starter solenoid battery terminal, then try and start the machine.

If it doesn't help, move the cables from the solenoid starter motor terminal to the starter motor positive terminal, and see if that helps.

If it doesn't move the cables to the starter motor ground to the battery ground, and see what happens.

You've ruled out the start motor, the solenoid, and the ignition switch.
The last two pieces are the cables or the battery.

Your starter operational circuitry runs thru numerous wiring harness connectors and safety switches. I would venture to guess you have a corroded or intermittent connection somewhere, so until you are willing to dig in there with a VOM and a test light you are pissing into the wind.

Ironman is correct. Here is a work around that works. Yours is a Kawasaki but the same electrical problem is there.
