CC 108 Clutch Assy.

I inherited a 108 CC. Left at our new house by the family of the previous deceased owner. I love this machine, I’m getting addicted would ike to get 1 or 2 more.

Tractor ran great for 4 or 5 times I mowed. Then clutch wouldn’t disengage. Now I’m rebuilding the clutch assembly. I have all the parts and ready to put back together. I’m finding conflicting information on line about the teaser spring. The mower did not have a teaser spring cup so I bought one thinking I needed one.

One diagram shows—throw out bearing—clutch release lever—teaser spring—teaser spring cup (small end towards teaser spring)—pressure plate

Another shows—throw out bearing—clutch release lever—teaser spring cup (small end towards clutch release lever)—teaser spring—pressure plate

Then I read that you don’t need both, use the teaser spring cup (small end towards clutch release lever) or the teaser spring but not both.

Hope someone can clarify this for me.

Section 2 page 23 shows you what you need, and in order.
No cup.
