71 oil pan plug relocation
 

My 71 is impossible to change the oil without going from the top. removing the engine. there is not enough room to get a wrench on the drain plug.
I am thinking of adding a fumoto type drain plug by drilling and taping the pan. I have not found a pan like the first photo The second is what I have.
has anyone modified theirs? I added one on my jeep liberty CRD because the threads were striped.
