Replace Hydro fan on a 1864 question
Hello I need to replace hydro fan and was wondering if I could cut the new one in half and then bolt it on and then JB weld after bolted on.?

It is not too hard to unbolt the drive shaft and replace the fan. You probaly need to service the drive shaft couplings anyway.
This is an option too.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/16704744831...Bk9SR-jb7MDgZw |
I would take it out as mentioned. Not that tough of a job and
you will be surprised at how nasty all that old grease and crud is in the couplers when you take it apart. Your tractor will love you for servicing the driveshaft correctly. Service manual has good description on this project. Ken |
Thanks for the replies back, I should have come here first and ask instead of searching the internet. One article said you had to remove the hydro unit? I should have known better at my age .
