The donations link has been broken for some time. I have spent countless hours working with Paypal trying to get it to work. They do not understand why it is not working. I even had the lady go to the site and try the link on her PC.

With that said, I am looking for a new way for folks to make a donation to the site. Has anyone used something that they think would work better then Paypal?

How about a business name and po box address so that people can send a check or money order?

That is a thought but that adds the cost of the PO Box, which is about 25.00 a month close to me. Less costs is the goal. I have had folks want to give by check and I have done that sending my address through, email and private messages.

I will add this too. What is driving me to increase donations. Eventually, we are going to have to upgrade to newer software. That will be expensive, as soon as this version is no longer supported, we will have to upgrade, Just trying to get in front of it.

Does the site have its own bank account if so we could direct deposit to it
I do this from here to Scotland sending money to the kids
Here in Australia you list your BSB and account number and I can send you money
In the UK it is Swift and the account number , but with either there is no way it can be accessed apart from deposits , of course the owner of the account can access it
Or a Credit card and donors can make a payment to it

Here in the states, once you have the routing number (swift number?) and account number, vendors can post charges to the account. There is danger in letting the account number out into the wild.
How much money do you need to raise & how many members does the board have?

Not sure what it will cost to get the new software. It is not required yet so it is not an emergency. The hosting site charges $110.00 an hour for work so I am guessing 2-3 days to swap everything over. We have about 775 active members right now.

not sure what PBI jim is meaning by the number out in the wild , if I have your Swift Number and Account number the only thing I can do is make deposits , all other access is 'VERBOTEN"
