1964 Cub Cadet 70 Hood
 

Good evening. I recently purchased a 1964 CC model 70. The hood won’t close; comes in contact with the steering wheel and when you are able to bend it past the wheel, the hood then pushes the throttle toward the idle position. The frame doesn’t appear to be bent and the hood looks to be true and square (as good as it can be for a 62yr old tractor). Beginning to think this isn’t the correct hood. Can anyone help me out with the dimensions for an original hood? My hood is ~29.25” long down the center. Thanks for any help!

Is the hood dented in the front? It may have run into something in its life
and pushed the grill housing. Easy fix is to remove the bolts on the back and put washers under that. It will keep the hood from hitting
