82 Series/Cyclops Front Bumper Modification
 

I can't be the only one tired of paying $150+ for these. I found a similar looking MTD bumper can be easily modified by "windowing" out the top of both flanges from the existing hole over, and enlarging one of the existing holes to clear a 1/2 coarse both.

Not perfect, but it does engage the frame and prevent rotation, so it should work as good as new. This is a good solution for my low budget 1914 build, as the bumper was under $50 shipped on feebay, and the grinder work was eyeballed and took maybe 10-15 minutes.
