301 carb main jet?

I have the carb off my cub 127 for cleaning, was pretty crusty inside. I removed the bowl, the float needle is stuck in the seat doesn't matter as I have a rebuild kit coming which includes a new one. When trying to remove the jet in the bottom of the carburetor, not sure if it is called the main jet or not, it was pretty hard to remove. I buggered up the end and ended up using an easy out to finally get it out. The jet is about an inch and a half long, I don't see any numbers on it.

Wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get a replacement? The number on the carb flange is C236315 and there is a number 26 in the throat behind the choke plate. The engine is a Kohler K301A with a spec number 3055061. The cheap replacement carbs online are tempting but not sure which ones are good ones.

I have restored many carbs and I have never remove that jet. More than likely you will have destroyed it in doing so.
Good luck now!

I believe you are right, the carb was pretty crusty inside I didn't think I could ever have gotten the small holes in the jet clean. I should have checked if the jet was available first never thought it wouldn't be I have done other carbs on motorcycles no problem there. It's gonna be a live and learn experience for sure.:bash:
