Hi folks. An LT1045 was left behind by owner of property I just bought. It looked rough, I had never even driven a riding lawnmower, but it started right up and I had a ball mowing our flat acre.

Before putting it back in garage I tried cleaning the deck with the hose attachment, but those were plugged and water blew everywhere. Oh well. But then it BARELY cranked and started. I figured water did something. I let it sit and dry. A few weeks later, no crank, minimal dash displays.

It took me two days of troubleshooting, multiple issues, and to say I learned a lot would be an understatement. I’ll write up details in spot soon.

Welcome aboard , but one thing I learnt was do not smile whilst using a ride-on as people will think you are having a good time
Frown a lot and make it look like hard work but inwardly have a ball

Your LT Model Number indicates that it is a 2008 and later model, probably with a Kohler Courage 20. Check for loose mounting bolts on engine cover and change motor oil and filter. Ignore the complaints from others about the Courage 20 durability.
