2006 LT1550 headlight shorted entire system???
 

One of my headlights bulbs has been flickering on and off. As soon as I touch it, it comes back on. So. I decided it was just a short in the socket and the solution was to just bend the contact tabs a small amount to tighten the contact points. Unfortunately, I was not bright enough to stop the idling engine and when I accidentally shorted the right side headlight contacts together, the engine immediately stopped and now I don’t have any power. No dash lights or headlights. I recalled that I had seen a fuse, so thought that must have blown. I found the 5 amp fuse and replaced it even though it looked good…still dead! No power. Is there another fuse? Any ideas on how to trouble shoot? Thank you

You should also have a 20 amp fuse....

Thank you Ironman. Found the main fuse. The entire fuse holder had been unfastened from the hood support frame and was under the battery tray. A
