Peco leaf vacs

11 Attachment(s)
I just bought these 3 Peco leaf vacs at a barn sale over the weekend Supposedly they last ran about 35 years ago, and were used on a 149. The green one is probably in the best shape, so I’m going to try getting that one going first. That has a Tecumseh H35 on it. It has a tag with a model number, 015112, on the tray. The second one has a 3 hp B&S on it. I can’t find a model number on it, but it looks very similar to the other one. That one has a broken impeller, and the aluminum blower housing is broken. Someone wrapped a tire tube around it to hold it together. The 3rd one is belt driven, but I think it is missing some parts, and something’s locked up. That has an ID number 1690402 1057. The impeller and housing are in good shape, so I’m probably going to use it for parts to fix the one with the Briggs. I think I can make 2 good ones out of the 3.

I have been looking, and can’t find much info about these. Does anyone have a manual, or know where I can find one? Also, does anyone have a picture of one mounted on a Cub Cadet? I’m thinking I’m missing a few parts to mount them. It looks like those two brackets that stick out would fit over the rear axle tubes, but there must be more than that.

Most likely the mounting brackets are still on the 149, I believe these are the mounting brackets but not 100% sure. The one is from a Simplicity. 1690402

Thanks Lew. I did notice the one had different mounts, I’m most likely going to use that one for parts anyway. Good to know what it came off though. I saw the tractor, that was for sale too. I didn’t notice any extra brackets on it, but there was some stuff pushed up against the back of it so I couldn’t get a good look. If that’s all I need, those brackets look like they would be easy enough to make if I can’t find a set.

You can call Peco vac at the number on the tag, and ask to see if they have a manual. The area code is different on their website.

Is this some type of Peco bracket? It is on a 1862 I'm using parts from.

I’ll probably end up doing that. I was on their website, they have manuals there, but it seems like only for newer stuff.

Well the PECO I have for My Narrow frame 106
Has Lower Brackets similar to this One Picture Below But there Is another Bracket That Mounts where the upper Bracket for the IH 3-Point Mounts But the Lower Mounts for the tray just rests On the rear axle

Do you have any pictures of that bracket? Sounds like it’s different than the brackets Lew posted above. Does the 3 point have to come off to mount it? I was thinking about putting it on my 126, which has a 3 point. Or I could put it on my 149. I guess it will go on whichever one I can get the right brackets for.

At least on my generation of Narrow Frame, I have to remove the bracket and upper casting piece circled in red. Maybe if I drilled some larger holes in the bracket, I bet I would only have to remove the pin in the IH 3-Point Casting to use the bracket.

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow, as the Peco is upstairs on the 2nd level, which is a little disorganized as I am having an addition added to the main floor of the barn.

Thanks. No rush, but if you can get a picture, that would be great.
